Egyptian God Anubis

Anubis was responsible for leading the dead people to the divine court. He was the god of embalming and was represented with the head of a jackal or black dog.
It seems to be originate from Behedet, but he is also worshiped in Inpu, Sauty and Memphis. It is one of the oldest Egyptian gods and its cult lasted until the arrival of Christian.
Anubis takes its great importance as the main god of the funeral rites. Based on the recovery and reconstruction of the body of Osiris, Anubis takes center stage in the embalming and mummification guiding the dead pharaohs.
Anubis was worshiped in Cinópolis in Lycopolis in Behedet in Bata, and Memphis.
