The following list covers the main Egyptian gods, but there were many hundreds more:
- Ra
The Egyptian god Ra was the sun god and is often represented as a falcon crowned with a solar disk and a snake. It is the main god of the Egyptian pantheon, solar symbol, which gave life, and guarantor of Egyptian concept of death and resurrection.
- Amun
He was worshiped in Thebes as the supreme creator and was assimilated into Ra and was known as Amun-Ra.
- Mut
She was the goddess of Thebes, sky goddess and wife of Amun. She is represented by a vulture headdress and with the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt.
- Jonsu
Khonsu was the son of Amun and Mut, the Moon. He was depicted with the head of falcon topped with a first quarter moon. He was the god of the sick, medicine and he protected from evil spirits.
- Osiris
Osiris presides the court that judges people after his death. He was assassinated according to legend by his brother Seth. he was the god of resurrection and fertility of the Nile.
- Isis
Isis is the wife and sister of Osiris, goddess of magic was represented in human form surmounted by a throne. Its main temple was on the island of Philae.
- Horus
Horus is the son of Isis and Osiris. He was depicted as a falcon. The pharaoh is the manifestation of Horus on earth.
- Seth
He was the god of nomadic shepherds. He was depicted with the head of Greyhound. He was the god of evil and desert.
- Hathor
She was the goddess of parenting, education, party and music, love and fertility. She was depicted as a cow.
- Anubis
Anubis was responsible for conducting the dead people until they reacch the god court. He was the god of embalming and was represented with the head of a jackal or dog.
- Thoth
He was the god of writing, music and knowledge and was represented with headed Ibis or baboon.
- Ptah
In the early days was worshiped in Memphis as the creator of the universe. He is the god of craftsmen and architects.
- Nut
She was the goddess of the night and is represented in human form covering the Earth as the sky.
- Maat
She was the goddess of justice and was represented crowned by an ostrich feather.
- Apis
He was the god of agriculture and was represented by a bull. He was a native of Memphis.
- Sobek
It was the crocodile god, the god of fertility, the Nile and Waters.
