Egypt has numerous pyramids, but the most famous and important are those of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus, which are in the plateau of Giza, close to Cairo.
Tens of pyramids exist in Egypt, all impressive. But certainly which stand up are pyramids attributed to Cheops and Chephren. In the picture you can see in the background Cheops and in the foreground Chephren.

The main pyramids are:
- Pyramid of Djoser or Step Pyramid of Zoser is in the necropolis of Saqqara. You can only go by taxi or tour. Zoser's pyramid was the first to be built or at least the first on record. Its uniqueness is that it is stepped. It belongs to the third dynasty and is the starting point for the rest of pyramids.

- Pyramid Khaba
- Pyramid Medum
- Bent Pyramid
- Red Pyramid
- Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) It is the only wonder of the ancient world still standing and its dimensions today continue impressing the beholder. Although many say that it's not worth going into, just the opposite. Contemplating the Grand Gallery is like looking at the Sistine Chapel, the architectural work summit of the pyramids. If it impresses from outside, from inside it does even more. Egyptologists say that the pyramid was built by Pharaoh Khufu around 2600 BC and it is still unclear what was the system used for its construction work.
- Khaefre pyramid (Chephren) It seems to be larger than that of Cheops, but it is an optical illusion, because it is located in a higher area of the Giza Plateau. The interior of this pyramid is simpler than the Cheops one so if allowed to choose it is always advisable to visit the pyramid of Cheops.
