Civilizations and Cultures of Ancient Mesopotamia
Multiple cultures or civilizations witnessed in ancient Mesopotamia. The main ones were:
- Sumerian
- Acadian
- Amorite
- Babylonian
- Assyrian
- Chaldean
- Persian Invasion
The main differentiator element between the various population groups in Mesopotamia was the different way of life that distinguished the nomadic and sedentary. Nomadic were very dependent on the weather and needed manufactured goods and food grown by sedentary. The relationship was changing between trade and war depending on the circumstances.
Mesopotamian civilization encompasses many different people with very different origins and characteristics. The large population groups in ancient Mesopotamia were:
- Culture Umm, Hassuna, Tell Halaf and Samarra. They were the first cultures to appear
- Sumerians, whose origin is still unclear and that achieved major advances. Is the first urban civilization which we know
- Native Population: hurritas, as were the Semitic Akkadians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Eblaites, as the Amorites, Canaanites, Aramaeans
- Indo Population: Hittites, Persians and Medes.
