Instruments or tools made by man during the Paleolithic

First it should be noted that man-made instruments that have survived to nowadays are just that, those who have survived. This means that there were probably many others made of some non resistant materials which have been lost forever. Instruments or tools that have been preserved were made in sculpted stone or bone. The technique for sculpting a stone, often flint was simple. The stone is struck with another stone until getting the desired shape. Common objects are scrapers, axes, spearheads or arrows, etc.
Paleolithic instruments and tools are classified by their age and manufacturing technique used. The following are ordered from oldest to newest:
- Pebble culture
- Acheulean Culture
- Clactonian Culture.
- Mousterian Culture.
- Aurignacian Culture
- Solutrean Culture.
- Magdalenian Culture
